Job summary

RAC is seeking a Roadside Technician to join its Patrol division. You will perform mechanical roadside repairs, diagnostics, and emergency breakdown support across the UK, starting and finishing from home.

You’ll receive a RAC van, fuel card, uniform, tools, and diagnostic kit, with a generous base salary and realistic OTE depending on performance. You’ll work demand-led shifts averaging around 40 hours per week, with overtime options.

Qualifications

• Level 2 light vehicle maintenance qualification (or equivalent) with at least 2 years post-qualification experience
• A customer-focused approach
• A full UK driving licence

Responsibilities

• Deliver mechanical roadside repair and vehicle diagnostics across the UK
• Provide emergency breakdown support and reassurance to RAC members
• Start and end your day from home, with full support from RAC
