Job summary

RAC is seeking a Roadside Technician to join our Patrol division across the UK. You will diagnose faults, perform mechanical roadside repairs, and provide emergency breakdown support to keep members moving.

You’ll work independently, make quick decisions, and use the latest diagnostic technology while delivering clear, reassuring service. We offer a structured development pathway, IMI accreditation opportunities, and a competitive package with a base salary of £36,400 and a realistic OTE of

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 in Light Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent) with 2+ years' experience.
• Or 5+ years' experience as a Vehicle Technician/Mechanic.
• Full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points.

Responsibilities

• Perform expert mechanical roadside repair and diagnostics.
• Provide emergency breakdown support across the UK.
• Deliver excellent customer service and clear explanations to members.
