Job summary

A housing organization in Newport is seeking an experienced Estate Services Cleaner to maintain cleanliness in communal areas of social housing properties. This mobile role covers multiple sites across the Isle of Wight, with transport provided. The ideal candidate should have prior experience in cleaning, a good understanding of health and safety, and be physically capable of manual labour. This is a 3-month contract with the possibility of extension.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a commercial or estate cleaning role is essential.
• Good awareness of health and safety standards and safe cleaning practices.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Flexible and reliable, physically capable of undertaking manual labour.
• Willingness to travel across sites.

Responsibilities

• Clean communal areas including entrances, hallways, staircases, lifts, and landings.
• Carry out scheduled and reactive cleaning tasks to maintain hygiene standards.
• Use appropriate cleaning equipment and methods safely.
• Report health and safety hazards to management.
• Ensure cleaning supplies are used responsibly and replenished.
