Job summary

Speedy is seeking a Mobile Engineer to join our Glasgow team. The role runs Monday to Friday from 07:30 to 16:30, totaling 42 hours per week, and is based at our customer site in Glasgow.

You will keep equipment service schedules up to date and respond quickly to customer needs when breakdowns occur. Applicants should have a full driving licence and proven mechanical engineering experience, ideally within hire or a similar engineering field.

Qualifications

• Full driving licence is essential.
• Previous mechanical engineering experience is essential.
• Experience in plant repairs on sites and low level access repairs on sites.
• Good computer skills, including Microsoft Office.
• Strong communication skills both verbal and written.
• Able to work alone under pressure and as part of a team.
• Ability to support ESG Strategy – Decade to Deliver.

Responsibilities

• Ensure equipment service schedules are up to date.
• Respond to customers in their times of need when equipment breaks down.
• Based at our customer site in Glasgow and support the operations team.
• Maintain good customer communications and on-site safety.

Mobile Engineer - Glasgow - Monday to Friday - 07:30-16:30 - 42 hours per week

Based at our customer site in Glasgow, the Mobile Engineer plays a key role in our operations, ensuring equipment service schedules are up to date and responding to our customers in their times of need, should equipment breakdown.

For us to help you on your journey to success, here’s what you will need:

• Full driving licence
• Previous mechanical engineering experience is essential, ideally gained within the hire industry or other engineering field
• experience in plant repairs on sites and also low level access repairs on sites and also on site inspections
• Good computer skills, including Microsoft Office
• Strong communication skills both verbal and written
• Able to work alone under pressure and as part of a team
• Ability to support your business unit/team to deliver our ESG Strategy – Decade to Deliver.
