Job summary

Speedy Hire is seeking a Mobile Engineer to be based at customer sites, keeping service schedules current and responding quickly to equipment breakdowns. The role requires a driving licence and prior mechanical engineering experience within hire or related fields.

Excellent communication and computer skills are essential, with the ability to work independently under pressure and as part of a team. The firm values ESG initiatives and career progression opportunities.

Qualifications

• Full driving licence is required.
• Previous mechanical engineering experience is essential, ideally in hire or related engineering.
• Good computer skills, including Microsoft Office.
• Strong communication skills, both written and spoken.
• Able to work alone under pressure and as part of a team.
• Ability to support ESG Strategy – Decade to Deliver.

Responsibilities

• Ensure equipment service schedules are up to date.
• Respond to customers promptly when equipment breakdowns occur.
• Based at customer sites as part of the Mobile Engineer role.

What You’ll Need
