Job Description

Crown Milling, part of the successful Cranswick PLC group, is looking for an Engineer to work nights across our two mills located in Kenninghall & Hoxne.

Summary

As Engineer you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient operations of the Mills.

Hours of Work
  • Working hours will be on a 3-week rota cycle – shifts: 1) 0600 – 1500 Hoxne including on call cover
  • 2) Kenninghall 0600 – 1500
  • 3) Kenninghall 1300 – 2200

You will be responsible for on-call overnight if the mill(s) need attention outside of working hours, added as ad hoc duties due to irregularity of breakdowns.

General Responsibilities
  • To comply with relevant Engineering specifications, and Environmental, Health & Safety policies and current legislation.
  • Complete/task engineering workload in conjunction with the Engineering Manager and Operations colleagues.
  • Ensure the company assets are maintained to achieve maximum efficiency.
  • Undertake planned maintenance tasks as instructed to the relevant engineering and safety standards.
  • Undertake remedial engineering works to equipment or site as instructed by the Engineering Manager.
  • To ensure plant and equipment downtime is kept to a minimum.
  • To respond to breakdowns in a time efficient manner.
Requirements/Experience
  • Previous experience of FMCG manufacturing (preferably milling related)
  • Excellent level of attendance and timekeeping
  • Full driving licence is essential
