Job Description

Salary between £36,270 and £37,440. PERMANENT POSITION
We are seeking a skilled Fabricator/Welder to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in welding and fabrication, with the ability to work with various materials, including steel sections and sheet metal. This role requires a keen eye for detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work while adhering to safety standards.

Responsibilities
  • Fabricate components and assemblies from various materials, primarily sheet metal.
  • Operate power tools and hand tools effectively to perform welding tasks.
  • Assemble parts and structures according to specifications and drawings.
  • Perform stick welding and other welding techniques as required.
  • Conduct quality checks on finished products to ensure they meet required standards.
  • Maintain a clean and safe working environment, following all health and safety regulations.
  • Collaborate with team members to improve processes and efficiency in fabrication tasks.
  • Utilise basic maths skills to measure, cut, and shape materials accurately.

Duration: This is a full time and permanent position

Contract Type: Permanent

Hourly Rate: £15.50-£16.50 per hour.

Working Hours: Monday to Friday, and starts are 0600-0800.

Experience & Qualifications
  • Previous experience is required in the following areas.

  • Qualifications
  • Proven experience in welding and fabrication, particularly with steel sections and sheet metal.
  • Proficient in using power tools and hand tools related to fabrication work.
  • Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to understand technical drawings and specifications.
  • Proficient and experienced with MIG welding techniques and TIG welding is highly desirable.
  • Basic maths skills for accurate measurements and calculations.
  • Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
