A successful machinery manufacturing company in Barnsley is looking for an experienced MIG Welder to join their team. The role involves fabrication and welding of mild steel platform chassis components to specified standards. The ideal candidate will have experience in MIG welding and fabrication, with an emphasis on maintaining high-quality workmanship. Working hours are Monday to Thursday from 07:30 to 16:30, and Friday from 07:30 to 13:30, with structured overtime available.

Qualifications

• Experience in fabrication and welding is essential.
• Fully conversant with the MIG welding process.
• Experience with TIG welding is desirable but not essential.

Job description

We are seeking a MIG Welder to work for a successful machinery manufacturing company in Barnsley.

Working hours will be 07.30 - 16.30 Monday - Thursday & Friday 07:30 - 13.30 (with regular structured overtime). Min salary of £34,600.00 per annum plus structured overtime paid at x1.5 or x2 hour rate.

The Welder Role requires team players with experience, skills and knowledge in fabrication and MIG welding. The role requires operating to high quality/workmanship standards within a world class manufacturing team and facility.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Fabrication & Welding of mild steel platform chassis components to specified Company standards, and to operate automated plasma/seam welder

Experience

• Experience of fabrication and welding
• Experience of using jigs and assembly fixtures to manufacture high quality repetitive components.
• Fully conversant with the MIG welding process
• TIG welding experience is desirable but not essential
