Overview

Role: Midday Assistant

Contract: Fixed Term until 31 August 2026, 38 weeks per year

Hours: 5 hours per week (12:15pm – 1:15pm)

Salary: Scale 2 – Point 3, £24,796; Point 4, £25,185 FTE (Actual salary £2,795 – £2,839)

Closing Date: 29 September 2025 at 12:00 Midday

Responsibilities
  • Follow guidance from the Midday Supervisor and assist with the management of the dining hall to enable a calm and enjoyable lunch for pupils.
  • Oversee pupils in the playground with positive engagement to ensure a safe and happy playtime experience.
  • Ensure first aid protocols are followed including adherence to record keeping.
  • Implement the safeguarding and Behaviour Policy consistently.
  • Demonstrate excellent communication skills.
  • Use own initiative where appropriate.
  • Creatively manage and implement stimulating activities and play for lunchtime play in collaboration with other midday colleagues.
