Job summary

Howden in Reading is seeking an experienced Client Adviser to join our Mid‑Market Practice. You will build trusted relationships with a portfolio of mid‑market and corporate clients, support renewal and placement strategies, and ensure high‑quality servicing.

Reporting to the Client Advisory Team Manager, you’ll collaborate with Client Directors and insurers, contribute to growth objectives, and help shape a scalable client servicing model in a growing business that values ownership and ambition.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting corporate or mid-market clients within the commercial insurance market.
• Strong technical knowledge across a range of commercial insurance classes and complex programmes.
• Ability to build credibility and develop relationships with clients, insurers and colleagues.
• Excellent communication, organisation and stakeholder management skills.
• Proactive, solutions‑focused approach in a growing business environment.

Responsibilities

• Build trusted relationships with a portfolio of mid‑market and corporate clients, delivering exceptional service and support throughout the year.
• Work closely with Client Executives and insurer partners to develop and deliver renewal and placement strategies.
• Manage day‑to‑day servicing of client programmes, handling queries, adjustments and renewals efficiently.
• Contribute to market exercises and negotiations to secure competitive insurance solutions.
• Collaborate with colleagues across the business to deliver outstanding client outcomes and a consistent service experience.
• Play an active role in growing the Mid‑Market Practice and shaping a scalable servicing proposition.
