Job summary

Howden Reading is seeking an experienced Client Adviser to join our growing Mid-Market Practice and help shape a servicing proposition built around exceptional client outcomes. You will support a portfolio of mid-market and corporate clients, collaborating with Client Directors and insurer partners to deliver renewal strategies and effective placements.

You’ll manage day-to-day servicing, respond to queries, and contribute to growth initiatives across the team, delivering a high‑quality client

Qualifications

• Experience supporting corporate or mid-market clients within the commercial insurance market.
• Strong technical knowledge across a range of commercial insurance classes, including complex programmes.
• Ability to build credibility and develop strong client relationships with clients, insurers and colleagues.
• Excellent communication, organisation and stakeholder management skills.
• Proactive, solutions‑focused approach in a growing business environment.
• Progress towards or completion of Dip CII qualifications would be advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Build trusted relationships with a portfolio of mid-market and corporate clients, delivering exceptional service throughout the year.
• Work with Client Executives and insurers to develop renewal and placement strategies.
• Manage day-to-day servicing of client programmes, handling queries, adjustments and renewals efficiently.
• Contribute to market exercises and negotiations for competitive insurance solutions.
• Collaborate across the wider business to deliver outstanding client outcomes and consistent service.
• Support growth and development of the Mid-Market Practice and scalable servicing proposition.
