We have an exciting opportunity for a passionate and caring individual to join our team within One Recovery Bucks, a drug and alcohol treatment and support service for people impacted by their own or someone else's use of alcohol or drugs.

One Recovery Bucks is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Mental Health Well-Being Practitioner (MHWP) to join our dynamic team. As a leading community drug and alcohol service provider, we are committed to delivering exceptional care and support to individuals dealing with substance use issues. Working as part of a multi‑disciplinary team, you would provide high quality clinical interventions including prescribing for people with an opioid use disorder, alcohol detoxification and relapse prevention medication, health and wellbeing interventions and blood borne virus screening and vaccinations.

Main duties of the job

You will be an essential part of our holistic care approach, working collaboratively within a multi‑disciplinary team. Reporting to the Principal Psychologist you will contribute expertise in prescribing and high‑quality care.

We prioritise staff growth, offering ongoing training and tailored professional development. This supportive environment encourages continuous learning in substance use treatment, prescribing practices, holistic care approaches and tackling health inequalities.

Inclusion, created in 2002, is part of the Specialist Services Care Group of Midlands Partnership University NHS Foundation Trust (MPFT). We provide services across England that include advice, information, harm reduction interventions, recovery planning in conjunction with a range of pharmacological, psychosocial and structured treatment programmes. We support individuals, families and communities who are affected by substance use, alcohol use, crime, mental health concerns or need treatment for their sexual health.

Person Specification
  • Qualifications: A graduate certificate (Level 6) or postgraduate certificate (Level 7) delivering the national curriculum for Mental Health and Well‑Being Practitioners (Adult Specialist Mental Health).
  • Experience: Experience of working with people with mental health needs gained through a graduate certificate or postgraduate certificate training with significant supervised practice.
  • Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:
    • Commitment to team working and ability to work successfully in a team.
    • Demonstrate support for the values and beliefs of the Trust working in a trauma‑informed way, promoting social inclusion and challenging stigma.
