A mental health service organization is seeking a Senior Psychiatric Nurse to provide first-line crisis interventions and comprehensive mental health assessments. Key Responsibilities
  • Provide first‑line crisis intervention service.
  • Assess service user’s mental, physical and emotional state and refer to the doctor when necessary.
  • Screen, assess and determine the urgency of referrals.
  • Provide social liaison and support services for service users and their families.
  • Attend ward rounds and participate in treatment and discharge planning.
  • Conduct home assessments and arrange hospital admissions when necessary.
  • Adhere to legal and professional standards.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Psychiatric Nursing from an accredited university or equivalent.
  • Current registration with the Bermuda Nursing Council.
  • Minimum of five (5) years of post‑graduate experience in a Nurse Manager / Supervisory Position in Mental Health.
  • Current certification in NCI and CPR.
  • Eligibility for registration with the Bermuda Nursing Council.
