Qualifications

  • Professionally registered in a relevant mental health field and experience in CAMHS.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with families and other professionals.

Responsibilities

Are you a registered RMN, Occupational Therapist or Social Worker seeking a rewarding new challenge? Join our CAMHS Single Point of Access team as a full time Mental Health Practitioner and be the first step in helping children, young people, and families get the right support at the right time.

Responsibilities
  • Support the Clinical Team Manager and SPA Practitioners to manage all requests for service, ensuring children, young people and families receive timely access to the right help they need.
  • Undertake phone consultations with children, young people, families and other referrers.
  • Work collaboratively with parents/families/carers to promote the emotional and physical wellbeing of the child/young person.
  • Assess risk in collaboration with children and young people experiencing mental health difficulties, significant others, and other workers/professionals, using professional judgment and team processes.
  • Identify and engage with practitioners with specialist knowledge to support decision making.
  • Confidently signpost to other appropriate resources within the community.
Qualifications
  • Professionally registered and have a degree of experience working within CAMHS.

We welcome applicants from a variety of clinical backgrounds and levels of experience. The post holder will work Mon‑Fri, 9am‑5pm, in Melksham and offers hybrid working with an extended induction period and regular supervision.
