You will work autonomously and as part of a multidisciplinary team within primarycare to provide same-day mental health assessments, manage crisispresentations, follow up discrete episodes of mental illness and deliverevidence-based care. Role Summary
TheMental Health ANP will provide autonomous, advanced clinical care within theNeighbourhood Access Service, part of the New Models Programme designed to improve same-day access and reduce pressure on GP time. This role focuses on urgent and reactive mental health presentations, supporting patients with low-level anxiety, depression, and other mental health needs, while liaisingwith secondary care for complex cases. Working as part of an integrated multidisciplinary team, the postholder will deliver advanced assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and prescribing for mental health conditions, ensuring safe, effective, and patient-centred care. The role will also contribute to safeguarding, and reducing health inequalities in line with Core20PLUS5 priorities, while supporting service development and digital interoperabilityacross neighbourhood sites.

You will be working with a team of GPs and other specialist ANPs to deliver same day care to the Wellingborough population.
