Job summary

The OR Society is seeking a Membership Manager in the United Kingdom to drive membership growth, retention and engagement. You will manage the member journey from joining to renewal, using data and feedback to improve the member experience.

You will oversee membership processes, data protection compliance, and governance, acting as the DPO. Close collaboration with Marketing and other teams will ensure value is communicated to members across benefits and services.

Qualifications

• Experience in membership, customer engagement or related roles.
• Experience delivering membership recruitment, retention or engagement activity.
• Experience using data and reporting to improve engagement.
• Experience with CRM or membership databases.
• Experience of governance rules and data protection requirements.

Responsibilities

• Manage membership growth, retention and engagement across categories.
• Oversee onboarding, renewal, and journey consistency for members.
• Use data and insight to identify engagement opportunities and communicate value.
• Ensure GDPR/compliance in data handling and governance.
• Develop targeted communications and campaigns with Marketing.
• Manage projects and stakeholder relationships to deliver objectives.
