Job summary

Starting Point Recruitment Ltd, on behalf of a leading business membership organisation in the Black Country, seeks a Head of Membership to drive engagement, growth and retention. You will lead a membership team, build strong relationships with senior leaders across regional businesses, and develop strategic initiatives to support regional growth and value delivery.

Hybrid working with two office days per week is offered.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in sales, membership management, or business development.
• Strong leadership skills with experience managing teams and driving growth.
• Excellent relationship-building skills with senior business leaders.
• Commercial mindset with ability to generate revenue through memberships and sponsorships.
• Understanding of the Black Country business landscape and economic environment.
• Highly organised with strong project management, budget oversight and strategic planning.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a membership team to achieve targets.
• Drive engagement, growth and retention across the region.
• Build and maintain relationships with key businesses, partners and stakeholders.
• Identify opportunities for partnerships, sponsorships and collaborations.
• Oversee revenue generation through memberships, sponsorships, and business development.
• Collaborate with Marketing to promote membership benefits and services.
• Manage budgets and set KPIs to ensure financial sustainability.
