Overview

PSR Solutions are currently recruiting for a Permanent MEICA Sub Agent in London. This will be working for a well established Tier1 Civils contractor who are covering projects all across the country.

Role

My client are looking for a driven MEICA Sub Agent to join their delivery team in London. You will be working across key civil engineering and water infrastructure projects. You'll manage construction sites to achieve safe, timely, and high-quality project delivery-specifically focusing on the Mechanical, Electrical, Instrumentation, Control, and Automation (MEICA) scope.

As a key member of the team, you'll work closely with Project Managers, Engineers, and Commercial teams to lead MEICA works from planning and installation through to testing, commissioning, and client handover.

Responsibilities
  • Site & Project Delivery
  • Lead and supervise MEICA works across multiple sites within the civils and water sectors.
  • Deliver projects safely, on time, to budget, and to required quality standards.
  • Prepare and manage MEICA-specific documentation including:
  • Method Statements, Risk Assessments (RAMS), ITPs, Commissioning Plans.
  • Inspection plans, quality assurance records, and O&M documentation.
  • Manage two-week lookaheads, procurement schedules, and construction programmes.
  • Coordinate with Mechanical and Electrical Engineers during site acceptance testing and telemetry commissioning.
  • Technical & Design Support
  • Review P&IDs and support commissioning strategy to integrate MEICA assets into existing infrastructure safely.
  • Assist with developing training manuals and testing documentation.
  • Support preparation of MEICA designs ensuring regulatory compliance (IEE, WIMES, etc.).
  • Commercial & Cost Control
  • Manage the companys cost plan for assigned projects.
  • Maximise value through accurate forecasting, value engineering, and tight budget control.
  • Maintain robust commercial records and produce quality reports for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Client & Stakeholder Management
  • Act as a companys ambassador on site and with clients.
  • Ensure clear communication during commissioning and throughout the delivery lifecycle.
  • Chair weekly meetings and produce accurate monthly reports.
About You

  • Sub Agent-level experience in MEICA within Civil Engineering/Water industry.
  • Electrical qualifications including:
  • City & Guilds 18th Edition (#removed#)
  • C&G 2365 or AM2 qualification
  • Formal mechanical qualification (C&G/NVQ or equivalent).
  • Experience with commissioning MEICA systems and leading installations.
  • Strong working knowledge of:
  • CDM regulations
  • Contract conditions (JCT/NEC)
  • Programme and risk management
  • CSCS Card, IOSH Managing Safely or SMSTS, Temporary Works Coordinator.
  • Proficient with MS Office and comfortable working in a highly regulated environment.
  • Desirable
  • Degree/HNC in Civil or Mechanical Engineering.
  • CEng MICE or similar professional accreditation.
  • Knowledge of Primavera P6.
  • Familiar with WIMES standards and water industry safety protocols.
  • Additional qualifications such as:
  • 2394/2395 or #removed# Testing & Inspection
  • LV/HV training
  • EUSR Water Hygiene card
  • Thames Water Passport
  • CP1/2 Confined Space entry
