Position Summary

The Manager, Clinical Outsourcing will lead the clinical trial outsourcing efforts for Jazz Pharmaceuticals’ clinical development programs across all study phases, both pre‑ and post‑authorization. The role reports to the Associate Director, Clinical Outsourcing and is responsible for vendor evaluation, contract negotiation and maintenance, as well as financial management processes that support Jazz’s clinical studies.

Responsibilities
  • Lead the vendor evaluation and selection process, including data collection and assessment of potential clinical development partners.
  • Generate Request for Information (RFI), Request for Proposal (RFP), and contract templates.
  • Interface with cross‑functional teams such as Legal, Procurement, Compliance, and Clinical Operations to select and manage vendors and study sites.
  • Develop and maintain tracking tools (spreadsheets, databases, etc.) to monitor vendor performance, contract compliance, and financial metrics.
  • Assist in monthly accrual processes and financial reporting for clinical outsourcing projects.
  • Represent Clinical Outsourcing in cross‑functional clinical trial working group meetings.
  • Train individual‑contributor professionals on outsourcing processes and best practices, as needed.
  • Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of changing healthcare regulations affecting clinical trial payments and vendor compliance.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant scientific or business discipline.
  • Minimum of three (3) years of clinical outsourcing experience, including managing CROs, central laboratories, and other clinical study vendors (trial sites considered a plus).
  • Experience generating RFPs, RFIs, and study budget/contract templates.
  • In‑depth knowledge of compliance and legal issues related to clinical trials phases 1‑3.
  • Understanding of international clinical pharmaceutical standards, ICH/GCP guidelines, and regulatory compliance issues.
  • Working knowledge of clinical trial functions including clinical operations, data management, biostatistics, regulatory, and drug safety.
  • Some limited travel may be required.
