Major Oak Medical Practice in Edwinstowe, Nottinghamshire

Immediate start

30 hours/week. Working hours between 08.00and 18.30 Monday to Friday (shift pattern)

We arelooking for a Medical Receptionist to join our busy team.

Thesuccessful candidate will be keen to learn and develop, with strong customerservice, communication and organisation skills. Experience of using SystmOneclinical system is essential.

Salary is dependenton experience and skills.

Main duties of the job

Duties will include but not be exclusive to:

Registering new patients

Processing Repeat Prescriptions in accordance to Practice Protocols

Process appointment requests for patients by telephone and in person.

Deal with visits requests

Customer Service i.e. meet and greet and attending to phone enquiries

Scanning patients clinical documents/letters

Photocopying and filling medical reports

Processing and distributing incoming (and outgoing) mail

Covering colleagues in event of sickness and shortage

Covering reception during the Extended hours openings in a rota basis

Booking community Phlebotomist

Salary is dependent on experience and skills.

Job responsibilities

Receive, assist and direct patients in accessing the appropriateservice or healthcare professional in a courteous, efficient and effective way.

Provide general assistance to the Practice Team and project apositive and friendly image to patients and other visitors, either in person orvia the telephone.
