A friendly GP practice in Coventry is seeking a receptionist to manage patient requests and appointments. The role involves greeting patients, maintaining databases, and ensuring confidentiality. Ideal candidates will be enthusiastic, efficient, and have basic IT skills. Prior experience in reception, especially in a general practice, is desirable. The position offers 13.5 hours of work over two days, ensuring a balanced work-life setup.
We are a friendly GP Practice wishing to recruit a receptionist with experience working in a customer facing environment, who are enthusiastic, efficient, and well organised. The vacancy is for 13.5 hours a week over 2 days
Monday 08.00 to 13.00 (5 hours)
Tuesday 08.00 to 17.00 (8.5 hours)
Managing patient requests in person, on the phone and via written communication
Greet and check in patients via computer
Booking, amending, rescheduling and cancelling patient appointments including domiciliary bloods
Register new and temporary resident patients on the computer
Producing, filing and distributing prescriptions and sick notes
Action patient care follow- up arrangements as per clinicians instructions including using emails, patient tasks and telephone calls to contact patients and arranging home visits
Maintaining and updating the practice patient database and patient information using the computer.
Ensuring patient/ colleague and practice confidentiality and data protection is observed at all times.

Responsible for dealing with all non-clinical matters concerning the care of the patients, either in person or by the telephone. You will be the first point of contact for the patients contacting and visiting the surgery.
