Job summary

Roche is seeking a Field Service Engineer to support the Central East region of the UK (Grantham to Peterborough). You will install, diagnose faults, and service high-value diagnostics equipment in NHS, university, and private labs.

The role involves on-site and remote diagnostics, training customers, and collaborating with Applications, IT, and Engineering teams to ensure safety, reliability, and optimal performance.

Qualifications

• Proven experience servicing high-value capital equipment.
• Education: HNC/HND level or above in Electrical, Mechanical, or Systems Engineering is highly desirable.
• Customer-centric mindset with ability to navigate complex environments.
• Strong ability to work within a multi-disciplinary team (Applications, IT, Engineering).
• Willingness to work within a 7-day support model to meet regional needs.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support for complex electrical and mechanical medical diagnostic equipment, ensuring safety and reliability.
• Perform fault diagnosis, routine repairs, preventative maintenance, and system installations on-site or remotely.
• Represent Roche Diagnostics professionally to laboratory personnel and stakeholders.
• Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams to enhance operational efficiency and patient care outcomes.
• Offer proactive technical system support and analytical reviews alongside reactive troubleshooting.
