Job summary

A leading chemical company in the Clitheroe area is seeking a skilled Mechanical Maintenance Technician. You will respond to plant breakdowns, conduct preventative maintenance, and improve equipment reliability. Ideal candidates will have a NVQ Level 3 and extensive experience in the chemical or oil and gas industries. The company offers a salary of £26ph, excellent pension contributions, and 33 days of annual leave.

Qualifications

  • Completed a recognised Mechanical Maintenance Apprenticeship.
  • Extensive experience in process plants, preferably in chemicals or oil and gas.
  • Strong health and safety awareness with knowledge of permit to work procedures.

Responsibilities

  • Diagnose and resolve mechanical faults during plant breakdowns.
  • Perform routine preventative maintenance tasks.
  • Contribute to equipment reliability improvements.

Overview

Mechanical Maintenance Technician role in the Clitheroe area, with a salary of £26ph PAYE (umbrella rates available) and inside IR35. 12 month contract.

Responsibilities
  • Responding to plant breakdowns to diagnose and resolve mechanical faults
  • Performing routine preventative maintenance tasks as per the scheduled programme
  • Contributing to equipment reliability improvements through failure analysis and root cause investigations
  • Ensuring all maintenance activities are accurately recorded in the computerised maintenance management system
What We're Looking For – Qualifications
  • Completed a recognised Mechanical Maintenance Apprenticeship and attained NVQ Level 3 or equivalent
  • Extensive experience working on process plants, preferably in the chemical or oil and gas industry
  • Strong health and safety awareness, with knowledge of permit to work and lock-out tag-out procedures
  • Proficiency in using computerised maintenance management systems, such as SAP PM
