Mechanical Maintenance Technician

£42,000 per annum + Overtime + Training + Progression + Company Benefits

Are you an experienced Maintenance Technician or Mechanical Engineer seeking a role with long‑term stability, excellent development opportunities, and the chance to work with advanced automated process equipment?

This role is perfect for someone with mechanical maintenance experience looking to expand their skill set within a highly skilled Engineering Department where training, overtime, and progression are readily available.

The Role
  • Preventative, corrective, overhaul, and breakdown maintenance on automated machinery including pumps, mixers, conveyor/drive systems, packaging equipment, and general site services
  • Investigate, diagnose, and rectify mechanical faults across a wide range of production equipment
  • Carry out hands‑on mechanical tasks such as fitting, welding, dismantling/rebuilding, and parts replacement
  • Strictly follow established procedures including 5S and Health & Safety standards
  • Schedule: 8:00am – 5:30pm, Monday to Friday. Callout rota: 1 week in every 5 (paid at 1.5x Mon‑Sat and 2x Sunday, with additional mileage paid when and if required to go to customer site(s))
The Person
  • ONC/NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in Mechanical Engineering
  • Experience working within a maintenance team in a manufacturing or industrial environment
  • Strong hands‑on mechanical skills such as fitting, welding, dismantling, rebuilding
