Job description

Alexander Steele are working exclusively with a reputable food manufacturing business to recruit a Mechanical Engineer for their site.

Responsibilities

• Be responsible for designing, modifying, and maintaining mechanical equipment on site.
• Ensure that all fabricated and welded components meet food industry standards.
• Carry out in-house repairs and provide rapid response to equipment breakdowns requiring welding, fabrication, or machining.
• Create CAD drawings for reference and future use, and machine parts to put into stock.
• Conduct repairs and improvements to ensure equipment reliability, minimise breakdowns, and extend the lifespan of critical assets.
• Oversee and maintain various systems including tortilla lines, chips lines, packaging equipment, silos, pumps, and mixers.

On offer

• Annual Salary of £47,500
• Monday to Friday - 8:30 am to 5:00 pm (40 hours p.w - days)
• Includes Sick Pay, Death in Service, and Employee Assistance Program (EAP)
