Job summary

A manufacturing firm in Essex is seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer to join their team. The successful candidate will be involved in producing solid models and drawings using SolidWorks CAD software. Applicants should have a degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field, and previous experience in a similar role. Excellent communication skills, a Full UK Driving Licence, and the ability to work well both individually and as part of a team are essential. Salary range is £35,000 - £42,000 per annum.

Responsibilities

• Working within the existing design engineering team.

• Offering technical assistance to customers and suppliers.

Location - Essex

My client design and manufacture a range of fabricated products and they are looking to take on a Mechanical Design Engineer.

The Mechanical Design Engineer will ideally have the following attributes :

• Degree qualification or similar in Mechanical Engineering or Computer Aided Design
• Be proficient with using SolidWorks CAD software ideally
• Previous experience working in a similar Mechanical Design Engineer role within the manufacturing sector
• Be able to work well individually as well as part of a team
• Have excellent communication skills both verbal and written
• Full UK Driving Licence is essential

The Mechanical Design Engineer role will involve :

• Working within the existing design engineering team
