Job summary

A UK-based vehicle service company located in Leeds is seeking an experienced Vehicle Technician to perform safety inspections, servicing, and repairs on a coach and bus fleet. Candidates must have proven experience with large vehicles and a strong commitment to safety and quality. The position requires a full UK driving license and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience working on coach, bus, PCV or HGV vehicles.
  • Strong mechanical and diagnostic skills relevant to large-vehicle fleets.
  • Full UK driving licence.
  • Excellent attention to detail and commitment to safety & quality.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a workshop team.

Responsibilities

  • Carrying out safety inspections, servicing and repairs on our coach and bus fleet.
  • Diagnosing mechanical, electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic faults on large vehicles.
  • Preparing vehicles for MOTs (where applicable) and ensuring full compliance with DVSA & Traffic Commissioner standards.
  • Completing job cards, defect sheets and maintenance records accurately and on time.
  • Supporting breakdown recovery for coaches/buses when required.
  • Maintaining workshop tools, equipment and ensuring a clean, safe work environment.
