Job summary

Mott MacDonald is seeking a Systems Engineer for our Nuclear, Defence and Civil division. You’ll work with designers and other engineers to develop system architectures, support stakeholder workshops, and deliver key systems engineering outputs on time.

The role requires MBSE, lifecycle experience, and strong communication, with UK Security Clearance and a hybrid working pattern across our UK offices.

Qualifications

• Understanding of systems engineering techniques across the lifecycle.
• Good stakeholder management with clear communication.
• Knowledge of requirements development for infrastructure projects.
• MBSE experience including system architecture development.
• Knowledge of integration, test, evaluation and acceptance strategies.
• Experience with tools like DOORS and architecture modelling tools.

Responsibilities

• Capture stakeholder vision and define system scope and boundary.
• Develop system requirements through the lifecycle using a suitable tool.
• Create architectural views (functional/physical) including SB/SS structures.
• Apply scenario and role modelling to support capability evidence.
• Work with designers to mature interfaces and document configurations.
• Produce system artefacts and support reviews and client deliverables.
• Generate verification and validation evidence and reports.
