Job summary

Mott MacDonald is recruiting a Senior Systems Engineer for the Nuclear; Defence and Civil division in the UK. You will partner with clients and multidisciplinary teams to develop system architectures, manage requirements, and deliver key engineering artefacts.

You will lead workshops, drive MBSE practices, and ensure traceability across the project lifecycle while operating within a hybrid working environment.

Qualifications

• Strong understanding of systems engineering across the full lifecycle.
• Proven stakeholder management and ability to communicate complex concepts.
• Background in requirements development for infrastructure projects.
• MBSE approach knowledge with system architecture development.
• Experience in System Integration, Test, Evaluation and Acceptance strategies.
• Proficiency with tools for requirements and architecture (DOORS, Sparx EA).
• Excellent written communication and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Lead stakeholder workshops and define system scope and Concept of Operations.
• Develop and manage system requirements throughout the lifecycle.
• Create architectural views (functional, physical) and interface definitions.
• Model scenarios to support capability assurance evidence.
• Collaborate with designers on internal/external interfaces.
• Produce high quality technical reports and artefacts.
