Are you a Maths graduate with a passion for your subject and an interest in teaching but not quite ready to commit to teacher training yet?


This is an excellent opportunity to gain hands‑on classroom experience in a supportive secondary school in Newport, working within a strong and well‑established Maths department.


The school is seeking a confident and motivated Maths graduate to deliver pre‑planned Maths lessons to pupils in Years 7‑9, supporting learning, managing behaviour, and developing the skills needed for a future career in teaching.


Key Responsibilities


  • Deliver pre‑prepared Maths lessons planned by the Head of Maths.

  • Teach Key Stage 3 (Years 7‑9 only).

  • Manage classroom behaviour in line with school policies.

  • Maintain a positive and productive learning environment.

  • Build strong relationships with pupils and staff.

  • Gain invaluable classroom experience ahead of teacher training.
