Maths Tutor - KS3 & KS4 (Alternative Provision)

Location: Alnwick | Pay: £25-£35 per hour

Are you an experienced and passionate Maths Tutor looking to make a meaningful impact? TP Tutors is recruiting dedicated tutors to support KS3 and KS4 students in alternative provision settings. Tuition sessions take place in a variety of locations, including students' homes, community hubs, and schools across Alnwick and wider Northumberland.

Responsibilities
  • Plan and deliver engaging Maths lessons aligned with the UK National Curriculum.
  • Adapt teaching approaches to meet individual learning needs and styles.
  • Monitor student progress and provide clear, constructive feedback using TP Tutors\' bespoke reporting platform.
  • Build strong, supportive relationships to help students develop both academically and personally.
Qualifications
  • Proven experience teaching Maths at Key Stage 3 and 4.
  • Confidence working with students who may require additional support or learning adaptations.
  • Strong communication skills and a motivational teaching approach.
  • A recognised teaching qualification such as QTS or PGCE - or significant equivalent experience.
  • Patience, flexibility, and a genuine passion for helping students succeed.
Experience
  • Experience working in alternative provision or with students facing educational challenges.
  • Effective behaviour management strategies.
