A healthcare organization is seeking a passionate Ward Clerk to join the Maternity Unit at Glangwili Hospital in Carmarthen. You will provide essential secretarial and administrative support while maintaining high standards and teamwork. Excellent communication and IT skills are crucial for success in this busy environment. The role is open to Welsh and English speakers, and training for Welsh language skills is available if needed. The annual salary is £24,833, pro-rata for part-time work.
We are looking for a passionate Ward Clerk to join our multi-disciplinary team in the Maternity Unit in Glangwili Hospital. You will be based on one of three wards, Antenatal, Labour or Dinefwr ward.
You must have excellent communication skills, be reliable, punctual and work well in a team, whilst being adaptable to changing situations. You will need to be able to work calmly and efficiently within a busy and intensive environment, dealing with sometimes unpredictable situations, whilst remaining focused on providing a person-centred approach to care.

As a Ward Clerk, you will manage and provide secretarial and administrative support . A strong sense of teamwork and commitment to maintaining high standards is essential to this position. The role will suit someone who enjoys working in a busy office, where they would be able to work as a team, as well as under their own initiative.
You will need to be able to communicate clearly and effectively at all levels, be able to provide excellent customer service and deal with administrative tasks in a timely and effective manner.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
