A healthcare provider in Cheshire is seeking a Maternity Manager for its Midwife Led Unit and case loading team. We are seeking an inspirational manager with a passion for low risk birth choices both in a hospital setting and at home. A manager who supports the development of both MLU / Homebirth sustainability and meeting the case loading demands for patients who meet the enhanced care threshold. You must possess strong leadership qualities and have the ability to implement new initiatives and the courage to drive forward future development, while working in partnership with other maternity managers.
You must demonstrate excellent communication skills and be able to challenge, when appropriate, to ensure competence and compassion is embraced by all. You will monitor and continually review performance, effectiveness and user satisfaction on the Midwife Led Unit, homebirth service and case loading team.
The Maternity Led Unit is a 3‑bedded department that supports low risk hospital birth. The homebirth Service is supported by the current MLU staffing model and the community midwife team covering the MCHT care boundary. The Case loading Team provides antenatal, intrapartum and postnatal care to those patients who have been identified as benefiting from an enhanced care pathway.
The role of MLU maternity manager will be accountable for all 3 service areas and will support the continuous improvement project towards a sustainable model of care for Low risk birth.
