Desford (LE9)

Initial 12 month contract - likely to extend for the right person!

37.5 hours a week with an early finish on a Friday! 07:00-15:30 Mon-Thurs, 07:00-12:30 Fri

Up to GBP17.95 PAYE hourly rate plus holiday and pension contribution OR Umbrella hourly rates up to GBP24.58 - depending on experience

Do you have supply chain planning experience within a Manufacturing Company? Are you an advanced Excel user with Power BI expertise? Are you hoping to find an exciting new challenge, in a fast-moving environment, within a globally renowned Fortune 100 company?

We re looking for a Materials and Logistics Analyst to join our client s busy global Supply Chain Team in Desford. This is an initial 12 month contract which is likely to be ongoing for the right person! If you have previous material planning experience and strong Excel and Power BI experience, this could be the opportunity you re looking for

What will the Materials and Logistics Analyst do?
  • Improve inbound/outbound material flow and support continuous improvement initiatives
  • Investigate and resolve material scheduling and transportation issues
  • Manage inventory levels and supplier delivery schedules
  • Develop dashboards and reports in Power BI for material planning analysis
  • Create Power Apps solutions to automate and streamline processes
  • Utilize advanced Excel functionality including pivot tables, complex lookup formulas, conditional formatting, data validation, and macro automation to deliver accurate insights
  • Use SAP for material planning and inventory management
  • Lead small to medium projects using Lean and Six Sigma principles
What skills and experience will the Materials and Logistics Analyst need?

Essential:

  • A minimum of 2 years Material Planning experience. Tracking deep sea shipments / Freight Forwarding / Imports experience would be advantageous
  • Power BI expertise (data modelling, DAX, visualization)
  • Advanced Excel (pivot tables, complex formulas, macros, automation)
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Proficiency in Power Apps and MS Office Suite
  • Team player, strong communicator
  • Lean and Six Sigma knowledge (Green Belt preferred)

Desirable:

  • Project management experience
  • CPS Functional Job Role Qualification, and APICS CPIM or CSPC National Certification
  • College or university degree, preferably in Supply Chain and/or Logistics Management or Industrial Engineering
  • SAP experience
