THE ROLE

We are looking for an experienced Marketing Manager to support Ancient + Brave’s ambitious growth trajectory in the UK, our home market.

In this role, you’ll help deliver best‑in‑class marketing strategy whilst scaling brand awareness at speed, delivering bold marketing communications with creative to match and NPD launches that expand our customer base.

This is a pivotal role that touches every part of our marketing mix and will be working across all commercial channels (DTC, Amazon & retail), executing marketing activations to launching new products, and owning all brand collateral. You’ll be an integral part of the team, working collaboratively and cross‑functionally at all levels and with all departments (brand and content, Design, ECommerce, Partnerships, Nutrition, Retail, Events and Innovation) as well as external agencies and partners.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Marketing, Campaigns & Partnerships
  • Execute multi‑channel UK marketing campaigns to drive awareness, consideration and new customer acquisition across D2C, ecommerce and retail.
  • Partner with the brand team to manage the production and delivery of assets for UK paid media and owned channels, especially digital.
  • Support planning and activation of UK brand partnerships, community initiatives and sampling opportunities.
  • Coordinate UK podcast activity where relevant – including media planning, script contribution and performance evaluation.
  • Support retail marketing initiatives across UK partners, including POS, shopper marketing, product launches, in‑store activation and sell‑through support.
  • Attend and support UK events, community activations and sampling sessions, representing the brand and building relationships with the target audience.
Brand Strategy & Consumer Insight
  • Support the Head of Marketing (UK) in delivering the UK brand strategy in line with overall business objectives.
  • Champion the “voice of the UK consumer”, ensuring marketing decisions reflect their needs, motivations and behaviours.
  • Engage with available consumer insight tools (brand tracking, social listening, CRM data, performance analytics) and contribute insights to help shape strategy and activity.
  • Support on market research to understand trends, the competitive landscape and opportunities for brand differentiation in the UK market.
  • Support ongoing optimisation of the brand’s value proposition and messaging for the UK audience.
Brand Guardianship
  • Ensure brand consistency across all UK marketing channels, assets and touchpoints, maintaining alignment with global brand guidelines.
  • Localise global brand frameworks and ensure UK execution remains premium, distinctive and consistent.
  • Develop and adapt template marketing materials for UK B2C partners, retailers and trade marketing needs.
  • Support the creation, briefing and coordination of brand assets (photography, videography, design), working with internal and external partners.
Performance, Measurement & Reporting
  • Track and evaluate campaign performance, contributing to regular reporting across brand, acquisition and retail metrics.
  • Establish and maintain clear KPIs for UK marketing activity in partnership with the Head of Marketing.
  • Provide insights and recommendations for optimisation and continuous improvement across channels.
  • Support the development of a robust UK marketing reporting function aligned with global best practices.
Project & Team Management
  • Manage multiple projects end‑to‑end with strong organisation, ownership and attention to detail.
  • Work closely with the UK commercial, shopper/trade marketing, product and operations teams to ensure integrated, effective execution across all touchpoints.
  • Collaborate with global marketing counterparts as expansion accelerates, ensuring UK learnings and insights inform broader strategy.
  • Coordinate with in‑house teams and agencies across paid media, PR, partnerships, influencers and creative production.
Budget Management
  • Support the Head of Marketing (UK) with day‑to‑day management of the UK marketing budget.
  • Ensure accurate tracking, efficient resource allocation and clear forecasting to maximise ROI.
WHO YOU ARE

To be successful in this role, you will need the following skills / knowledge / experience:

  • Proven experience in brand marketing, ideally within the retail industry, with D2C consumer brand(s) but open to agency side brand building experience.
  • Strong project management skills with a track record of delivering multi‑channel campaigns.
  • Ability to seek out and develop new opportunities for brand building, using existing networks and consumer insight available.
  • Creative thinker with experience developing and executing bold marketing communications.
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills, with the ability to collaborate cross‑functionally.
  • Passion for consumer insights and data‑driven decision‑making.
  • Have a number of commercially successful and highly regarded creative campaigns and NPD launches under your belt.
  • A good understanding of key brand metrics and an ability to interpret data and ask the right questions.
  • Fluent in English (speaking and writing).

Our Interview Process and What You Can Expect:
  • Application Review: We’ll start by reviewing your CV/application to ensure it’s a good fit for the role.
  • Initial Phone Call (circa 15‑20 minutes): You’ll have a brief introductory chat with our People Team. We’ll discuss your experience, your career aspirations and explore how your values align with ours.
  • Video Interview (circa 30 minutes): The next step is a virtual interview with the hiring manager, via Google Meet. This will be an introductory conversation featuring experience‑based and competency‑based questions. It’s also a great time to ask any initial questions you have!
  • Interview Task: You’ll receive a task via email which you can prepare at home. This will form part of the discussion for the in­person interview. This will allow us to get a better understanding of your experience, skills and ways of working.
  • In‑Person Interview (60‑90 minutes): The final stage is an in‑person interview at our Lewes office. You’ll meet with the hiring manager and one other team member and present your interview task and answer competency questions. This is also your opportunity to ask us any remaining questions.
