Overview

Having nurtured over 120 hotels, with a team whose combined experience spans 100 years and a brand history that spans over 60 years, we have established an unparalleled reputation in the hospitality market. Our journey to becoming one of the UK’s leading hotel operators began in 1993 when we launched as Regal Hotel Group PLC. We expanded rapidly through strategic acquisitions and by 1997, with the purchase of our first London property, we’d assured our position in the hospitality sector. Partnerships with successful restaurant brands and further acquisitions increased our portfolio and healthy growth continued. In 1999, following a strategic review, we launched the Corus Hotels brand. Now 26 years on, Corus Hotels is diversifying and using the real-world knowledge and experience from owning and managing our own hotels, to support and grow others as a hospitality management company.

We have an exciting opportunity for a full-time Marketing Executive to join our team and get involved in a wide range of marketing activity. This hybrid role would require someone to work flexibly from home, head office and regularly (2-3 days a week) from two of our beautiful hotel properties (London and Slough). This is a very exciting time for Immersive Hospitality Management and this would be an excellent opportunity for someone to join a fun and friendly team, be creative and gain lots of experience.

Responsibilities / Role Description

The role focuses on delivering a broad range of marketing activities across the business, including content creation, campaign planning, and collaboration with external agencies to support on planned activity.

Skills and Qualifications

Required:

  • Experience and knowledge planning and creating content for social media campaigns. Using a scheduling tool and posting in line with brand standards with excellent photography and video editing skills, thinking creatively and encouraging engagement across all our platforms – TikTok, Instagram, X, Facebook, etc.
  • Experience using an Email service provider to design and build email marketing campaigns in line with overall marketing plan and strategy
  • Experience using CMS systems, to update and coordinate website content
  • Familiar with design programs such as Adobe Creative Suite and/or Canva with ability to update or create simple design touchpoints aligned with marketing plans and campaigns, including digital assets and on-site collateral such as flyers, menus and posters
  • Outstanding written communication skills for a multitude of platforms and audiences
  • Strong proofreading skills and attention to detail
  • Software knowledge including Microsoft Office, Canva Pro and WordPress at an intermediate or advanced level
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work closely with external agencies including digital specialists, graphic designers and PR to support on planned activity
  • Highly efficient and organised with a flexible attitude
  • Creative thinker bursting with ideas
  • Ability to work within a given timeframe and to deadlines
  • Must hold a valid UK driving license and be prepared to travel in the UK for work if required
  • Able to work independently and within a small team

Desirable Skills (but not essential)

  • Graduate with a degree in Marketing or a similar creative qualification
  • Photography qualification or experience
  • Previous experience in hospitality marketing
  • Microsoft Excel knowledge at an intermediate or advanced level
  • Strong digital marketing knowledge – SEO, PPC
  • Experience in using Google Analytics
  • Experienced using Photoshop & InDesign
  • A good understanding of the hotel/travel/hospitality industry
