Overview

Maritime Delivery Technical System Engineers

Warrington - with travel (will include occasional weekend work & overtime will be paid)

Do you thrive in fast-paced, complex environments where adaptability and resilience are essential? The Maritime Project, delivered in partnership with the MOD, is focused on deploying cutting-edge solutions onboard Auxiliary Vessels within highly challenging timescales.

This role requires broad technical expertise across industry-standard hardware (CISCO, DELL, APC) and enterprise software platforms (Microsoft, VMware). You will play a critical part in delivering secure, high-performing solutions from factory to vessel, while representing Fujitsu professionally in customer-facing engagements.

As a Maritime Delivery Technical System Engineer, you will contribute to this by conducting all technical aspects as required by the Maritime Project to ensure the required solution has been implemented to a high standard.

Transferable Skills / Experience

Proven experience designing and deploying virtualised datacentres from assured baseline solutions with supporting documentation.

Experience in Service and Incident Management (BMC Remedy).

Network background (Switches, Routers, Firewalls) is highly desired.

Windows Server & Administration Tools (Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, Certs, PKI), Windows 10

Experience in Microsoft technologies: SQL, Exchange, Skype, SharePoint, WSUS

Experience in VMware technologies, including: ESX & vCenter, NSX, Horizon (VDI), App Volumes

Experience in following technologies: KeePass, SolarWinds, Veeam, Trend

PowerShell scripting knowledge.

Configuration of Thin Clients & Peripherals (Amulets, Printers, Scanners)

Update firmware versions of all type of hardware (UPS, Servers, SANs, Switches)

Strong analytical, technical troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

Experience of Linux.

Exposure to Bulk User Provisioning and Data Migration

Exposure to Configuration Management

Exposure to Test and Assurance principles

Mandatory Skills Required

Microsoft & VMware Technologies

Networking skills – or understanding of

Ability to undergo a high level of security clearance

Systems / Software Engineering background including all aspects of the solution lifecycle.

Understanding of Low-level Engineering Documentation & Test Scenarios.

Technical knowledge of MOD IT systems, security policies and enforcement
