Manufacturing Team Leader / Production Operative Supervisor – PM Shift

An excellent opportunity for an experienced manufacturing or production supervisor to lead a PM shift, driving quality, safety and performance within a fast-moving FMCG manufacturing environment.

SALARY: £14.00 per Hour

LOCATION: Keelby, Lincolnshire, East Midlands

JOB TYPE: Full-Time, Permanent

WORKING HOURS: Monday to Thursday, 2:30pm – 1:30am

JOB OVERVIEW

We have a fantastic new job opportunity for a Manufacturing Team Leader / Production Operative Supervisor to oversee a PM shift within a busy manufacturing environment.

As a Manufacturing Team Leader / Production Operative Supervisor you will take responsibility for the day-to-day running of production lines, ensuring production targets, quality standards and health and safety requirements are consistently met.

The Manufacturing Team Leader / Production Operative Supervisor plays a key role in communicating company goals, supporting training, monitoring performance and maintaining accurate production and traceability records.

This is a hands‑on leadership role, ideal for someone with strong problem‑solving skills, a positive work ethic and experience within production, manufacturing or FMCG operations.

As a successful candidate you will join a fast growing team in a well‑established company, nestled in a picturesque countryside setting on the outskirts of Grimsby. The site offers a charming work environment, complete with a tranquil duck pond – a reflection of the natural beauty and care that inspires their products.

DUTIES
  • Production Leadership: Overseeing the day‑to‑day running of production lines during the PM shift
  • Target Achievement: Ensuring production targets set by the Shift Leader are achieved and accurately recorded
  • Quality Control: Maintaining quality standards across all working areas
  • Health & Safety Compliance: Ensuring all team members wear correct PPE and follow safety procedures
  • Team Management: Leading, motivating and managing a team of between 3 and 11 production operatives
  • Equipment Control: Ensuring all required equipment is signed out at the start of the shift and returned at the end
  • Documentation: Completing and maintaining all required production and traceability paperwork
  • Problem Solving: Identifying and resolving issues to minimise downtime and maintain output
  • Operational Support: Supporting HSE and quality teams as required
  • Operational Flexibility: Undertaking general operative duties across production areas when needed to support operations
CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS
  • Previous experience in a production / manufacturing environment
  • Proven leadership and people management skills
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to relay information clearly
  • Good time management and organisational skills
  • Ability to problem solve in a fast‑paced environment
  • A positive and proactive work ethic
  • Commitment to following health and safety procedures
  • Ability to maintain quality standards consistently
  • Physically able to work in an active manufacturing environment, including operating machinery and manual handling
DESIRABLE
  • FMCG environment experience would be desirable, but not essential
