Job summary

A leading manufacturing company in Brighton seeks a Manufacturing Process Engineer to oversee technical changes, develop process improvements, and lead training initiatives. Candidates must hold a relevant degree and possess several years of manufacturing experience, with advanced statistical skills being essential. Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in statistics, engineering (or other applied science field).
  • 3-5 years' experience in manufacturing, strongly preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability in Process control/Process mapping.
  • Experience with advanced statistics (regression, control charting) and software such as MiniTab, Statistica, Dataminer, etc.
  • Able to drive change in demanding atmosphere.

Responsibilities

  • Technical Reference and 'gate keeper' for all major technical changes in processes/equipment.
  • Considered technical resource for all off shift processes/support.
  • Builds new models/tools using advanced statistical knowledge.
  • Develop and maintain capability/opportunity matrix for safety, quality, and production.
  • Lead standardization of appropriate assets and procedures.
  • Support Manufacturing Process Improvement efforts.
  • Develop and initiate cost reduction programs in manufacturing area.
  • Introduce and implement SPC techniques and control systems.
  • Assist and develop Training program initiatives.
  • Provide administrative support to Reengineering activities.
