Position Overview

Rochester please note, I can only consider candidates who have their own transport due to location.

£29,500 + overtime + benefits + progression.

46-hour working week – Monday–Thursday 06:00–18:00 (4‑day working week!).

Do you have experience working within Manufacturing? Have you used hand tools within previous roles? Do you enjoy working in a ‘hands on’ role?

We’re working with a well-established manufacturing company looking for a Factory Operative to join their team on a full-time permanent basis.

This is a hands‑on, physical role in a fast‑paced production environment. You'll be working with cast metal parts, using various tools and machinery to prepare products for the next stage of production.

Duties
  • Fettling and grinding of metal castings using power tools
  • Manual handling – moving boxes and materials
  • Shot blasting (machine operation)
  • Etching parts using specialist hand tools
  • Operating a band saw when required
  • Cleaning and maintaining equipment and workspaces
  • Recording production data on a touchscreen system
  • Completing paperwork to track tasks completed

  • Experience working within a manufacturing environment
  • A good level of physical fitness
