Job summary

Anthropic is seeking a Manager of Technical Deployment for Financial Services to lead a team of Technical Deployment Leads and Forward Deployed Engineers embedded in client engagements. You will own portfolio health, set delivery standards, and drive executive-aligned outcomes from SOW to production.

You will work in a player-coach capacity, without writing production code, and will travel 25–50% to customer sites as needed.

Qualifications

• 8+ years leading enterprise AI/ML delivery with at least 3 years directly managing people who owned delivery outcomes.
• Track record of building and leading technical delivery teams in enterprise environments, including embedded or forward-deployed teams at client sites.
• Delivered AI/ML or LLM-based agentic solutions into production, with understanding of integration approaches.
• Depth in Financial Services and ability to discuss model risk, security, and compliance with CIOs and senior leaders.
• Ability to navigate architecture discussions with engineering stakeholders and judge feasibility of agent designs.
• Experience with value-based scoping, including TCO/ROI quantification and post-deployment impact measurement.

Responsibilities

• Hire, develop, and retain a team of TDLs embedded in Financial Services engagements and set a high bar for delivery judgement.
• Manage each TDL directly: regular 1:1s, clear expectations, direct feedback, and growth plans; build a bench that can run engagements without you.
• Own portfolio health across the vertical; monitor engagements, manage risk, and conduct engagement quality reviews.
• Own customer outcomes across the portfolio; manage executive relationships and steer engagement governance with sponsors.
• Lead staffing calls for engagements and align TDLs with engineers to match project scope; adapt as scope changes.
• Lead the most complex engagements when needed, from delivery plan through production, and ensure defensible impact stories.
