Job summary

MCS Group is seeking a Technical Delivery Lead to own complex, client-facing technical deployments. This hands-on leadership role sits between engineering, infrastructure and delivery, guiding a team across DevOps and technical engineering to deliver reliable outcomes.

You’ll coordinate several concurrent deployments, improve runbooks, and act as a senior escalation point while collaborating with engineering, product and client teams in highly secure environments.

Qualifications

• Experience across technical delivery, DevOps, platform engineering or operations.
• Leading engineers or technically focused teams.
• Delivering software or infrastructure into client environments.
• Experience with AWS, Linux, networking, Docker, Kubernetes or similar technologies.
• CI/CD and deployment automation.
• Working within secure, regulated or high-assurance environments.
• Managing several technical workstreams or deployments simultaneously.
• Confident communication with technical teams and senior stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a team across DevOps, infrastructure and technical engineering.
• Plan and coordinate multiple concurrent technical deployments.
• Build repeatable deployment processes, runbooks and working practices.
• Act as a senior escalation point when technical issues arise.
• Work closely with engineering, product, programme and client teams.
• Manage delivery priorities, resource and technical risk.
• Improve deployment automation, reliability and operational processes.
• Remain technically close enough to the environment to support your team when needed.
