Job summary

Anthropic is seeking a Forward Deployed Engineer to embed with strategic customers and deliver production Claude-based applications. You will collaborate with post-sales, product and engineering teams to ship advanced AI solutions that meet real-world business needs, while maintaining safety and reliability.

You’ll travel 25-50% to customer sites, work autonomously in dynamic environments, and help shape our enterprise AI deployment motion with a strong customer-first mindset.

Qualifications

• 4+ years in a technical, customer-facing role such as Forward Deployed Engineer or similar.
• Production experience with LLMs including prompt engineering, agent development, evaluation frameworks, and deployment at scale.
• Strong programming skills with Python (and ideally TypeScript/Java/others) and experience shipping production applications.
• High agency to navigate ambiguity in complex organizations and drive outcomes.
• Strong communication to convey technical concepts to diverse stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Build production applications with Claude models on customer systems.
• Deliver technical artifacts for MCP servers, sub-agents, and agent skills used in production workflows.
• Provide white glove deployment support for Anthropic products in enterprise environments.
• Identify repeatable deployment patterns and share insights with Product and Engineering teams.
• Maintain knowledge of latest LLM capabilities and AI product development stacks.
• Build long-term relationships with customers and identify new deployment opportunities.
• Travel frequently (25-50%) to customer sites to work in person.
• Champion Anthropic’s mission in the field.
