Job summary

Notion is seeking a Manager of Forward Deployed Engineering to lead a team delivering complex enterprise engagements across EMEA. You will guide discovery, architecture, and delivery of integrations, data pipelines, and custom agents, while coaching engineers and aligning with sales and product leaders.

You will balance technical excellence with customer outcomes, MR&D, and scalable delivery practices in a fast-growing environment.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in forward deployed engineering or similar hands-on technical roles.
• 2+ years leading engineers responsible for customer-facing delivery.
• Proficiency in at least one core language (Java, JavaScript, Node.js, SQL, Python).
• Experience with APIs, integrations, data transformation, and production systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team delivering complex enterprise customer engagements across EMEA.
• Architectural review and coaching to ensure high delivery quality.
• Oversee discovery, scoping, effort estimation, and planning for strategic opportunities.
• Partner with Sales and Services on staffing and delivery plans.
• Define and scale operating models for Forward Deployed Engineering.
