The Recreation Manager is responsible for planning, developing, and overseeing engaging recreation and wellness programs that enhance the physical, emotional, social, intellectual, and person‑centered approach for residents with early dementia. The role identifies each resident’s needs and provides an environment where residents are free to be themselves. This model values emotional intelligence and the belief that every individual living with dementia has a unique and meaningful story.

Qualifications
  • Must have a caring heart and willingness to serve others
  • Must have completed a course in dementia with at least two years of experience in geriatric activation/recreation
  • Personal Support Worker qualifications an asset
  • Ability to multi‑task
  • Demonstrated leadership and organizational skills
  • Flexible schedule: ability to work days and/or weekends as required
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Knowledge of community resources and program development (asset)
  • Tech savvy is an asset
