Job Title

Manager, Pricing, Savings and Retirement

Role Overview

The Savings & Retirement (S&R) Insurance Pricing team is responsible for producing the best estimate insurance assumptions for clients in our global markets. The team’s responsibilities span Pension Risk Transfer, Individual Retirement and Savings for Retirement products. We are looking to hire a manager for our growing pricing team, who will primarily support our Savings markets (Japan, wider APAC, North America, Continental Europe) through tender activity composta and ongoing technical / pricing support. The successful candidate will be based in our London office, Tower Bridge House, St Katharine’s Way. As a proactive and technical senior actuary, you will work on a team to deliver quotes for clients. Your expertise in pricing and experience analysis will support you as you work alongside the Client Solutions team to deliver creative solutions and support market growth, to meet the needs of our clients. You will also be responsible for managing the insurance pricing actuaries and analysts within the teamathu.

Responsibilities
Skills & Experience
  • Have strong and relevant technical experience in (re)insurance, consultancy or another statistical role.
  • Experience in GLM and advanced statistical techniques would be preferable.
  • Experience in a pricing role is not essential but would be advantageous.
  • Be a qualified actuary (a member of the IFoA or SOA) with 3+ years of post-qualified experience.
  • Have exposure to experience analysis and basis setting, including but not limited to mortality, morbidity, and lapse assumptions.
  • Have strong communication skills. Able to communicate complex actuarial concepts to a range of audiences both verbally and written.
  • Have experience in people management and supporting newly qualified actuaries and actuar চক analysts in their work.
