As a Manager with Tetra Tech International Development, you will manage the successful delivery of complex programmes, play a major role in business development efforts, and build strong client and partner relationships.
Responsibilities
- Manage the successful delivery of large, complex international development programmes, ensuring they meet quality standards, milestones, budgets, and client requirements.
- Lead and support business development by identifying opportunities, managing end‑to‑end tender processes, coordinating teams, crafting tailored proposals that clearly communicate value, and collaborating with partners to build competitive tenders.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, partners, consultants, and internal teams to support the successful delivery of programmes and business growth.
- Contribute to the wider Economic Growth and Infrastructure Practice by sharing knowledge and mentoring junior colleagues.
Qualifications
- An experienced early mid‑career professional with demonstrable experience managing international development programmes, ideally in economic growth, infrastructure, private sector development, climate and nature, energy, or related sectors. Experience managing FCDO‑funded programmes is highly desirable.
- A collaborative team player with a proactive and entrepreneurial mindset, driven to identify and pursue new business opportunities. You bring a proven track record in business development, including significant contributions to pipeline growth, pursuit strategy, and successful tender submissions, ideally within FCDO‑funded contexts. Strong writing skills are highly valued in proposal writing.
- Technically adept with deep knowledge of inclusive economic growth, climate and/or infrastructure challenges and opportunities in developing country contexts.
- Well‑connected, with extensive networks of potential partners and experts relevant to our geographic and thematic priorities.
- An outstanding communicator in English (both written and oral), comfortable working across cultures and with global teams.
- Exceptionally organised, detail‑oriented, and numerate, capable of managing multiple priorities effectively in a dynamic environment.
- Self‑motivated, adaptable, and committed to fostering a positive, collaborative team culture.
- Educated to Master’s level (or equivalent, preferably) in international development, economics, agriculture, engineering, climate and sustainability, or related disciplines.
