A prestigious sports organization in Telford is seeking a Manager for their DC Operations. The role involves overseeing all warehouse operations, managing shifts, and ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations. Candidates should have extensive experience in distribution centre management, a collaborative approach, and strong communication skills. We have an exciting opportunity for an individual to join our Liverpool FC team as a Manager, DC Operations.
In this role you will oversee all aspects of warehouse operations, ensuring inbound, outbound, stock replenishment, and production activities run safely, accurately, and on schedule. Leading a team of Supervisors, they monitor performance, resolve operational challenges, and optimise workforce allocation to meet service level agreements. This role drives a culture of accountability and operational excellence, translating site objectives into actionable plans and maintaining seamless continuity across all shifts, seven days a week.
To be successful for this role you will be an experienced leader with a strong background in distribution centre management within a large retail organisation. Ideally, you’ll have previous experience overseeing complex operations and driving performance through effective leadership. Your ability to inspire and guide teams will be key to creating a culture of accountability and operational excellence.
You’ll bring extensive retail operations knowledge and a collaborative approach, along with excellent communication skills and a strong teamwork ethic. Attention to detail and an analytical mindset are essential, along with sound IT knowledge. Flexibility and adaptability will help you thrive in a fast‑paced environment where priorities can change quickly.
To really stand out, you may also have a desired degree‑level education, experience as a PVX WMS super user and familiarity with automated or system‑driven environments.
This is a full‑time permanent role working 35 hours per week. Your main base will be our Distribution Centre.
