From mid-January we will have an exciting L5 vacancy within the Positive Healthcare team looking after Footcare, First Aid and Health Checks categories. This role offers a great mix of both Own Brand and Branded products at a time where there is more innovation coming to the categories than ever before. These categories are high revenue and margin and play a key role in the Consumer Health & Wellness team especially through the summer months

It is exciting times for the category with launches are coming up in Own Brand including the new Wealthy brand and the trending earplug brand Loop, which will play a role within our Wellness offering online and in store. We are relaunching our Blood Pressure monitors range to really compete vs Amazon and we are also working with the wider Healthcare business unit to evolve a podiatry offering in store. There is lots of opportunity to grow the categories through range development and creating great marketing plans with brands along with driving our .com participation

Responsibilities include:
  • Be responsible for the strategic delivery of the category plans.
  • Building great relationships with our supplier partners to create the best possible plans for customers and secure new brands for the category.
  • Have an entrepreneurial mindset, to pull all available levers to optimise the P&L.
  • Be the expert in our customer - understand what they need now and what they would love in the future.
  • Lead a team supporting them to drive the business and helping them to achieve their career goals.
What you'll need to have
  • We're looking for someone who is passionate about shaping and developing product ranges within our own brand portfolio, exploring new sub categories that can complement and add incremental value and to nurture the core categories too.
  • You will demonstrate building great relationships internally and externally, leveraging those relationships to make the most of every opportunity.
  • You will have strong commercial awareness with a deep understanding of customer needs and motivations - able to translate insight to strategy to trade plans which capitalise on customer and market opportunities.
  • You will be an inspirational leader who creates commitment and belief in others - playing a key role in ensuring suppliers and internal stakeholders are bought in to the vision for the future of the business.
  • A proactive, go-getter - doesn't wait to be told what to do, but goes after new opportunities to drive the business harder.
