Development, Maintenance & Repairs Accountant

Are you an ambitious finance professional looking to make a real difference in your community? I am working with a well-established housing association based in Lancashire, which is seeking a motivated Development, Maintenance & Repairs Accountant to join their team.

This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in shaping financial insight and supporting colleagues across the organisation.

About the role:

You will provide high-quality financial support across development, maintenance, and repairs functions, ensuring strong financial management and helping budget holders make informed decisions. This role is ideal for a part-qualified ACCA/CIMA (or equivalent) candidate or a fully qualified accountant looking for a flexible, rewarding position.

Responsibilities
  • Preparing and producing monthly management accounts for development, maintenance, and repairs activities
  • Supporting budget holders with accurate financial information, advice, and insight
  • Producing variance analysis and performance reports
  • Assisting in the preparation and monitoring of annual budgets and forecasts
  • Ensuring accurate accounting of development projects, maintenance expenditure, and capital spend
  • Providing financial analysis to support strategic decision-making
  • Working closely with colleagues across Finance, Development, Assets, and Operations to deliver excellent service
About you:
  • Part-qualified or qualified ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent
  • Strong management accounting and reporting experience
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively with non-finance colleagues
  • Proactive, organised, and able to work independently
